The members of the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believe that Ahnsahnghong is Second Coming Christ. Who is Ahnsahnghong and why do they believe He is Second Coming Christ?
Who is Ahnsahnghong from Korea?
Ahnsahnghong was born in 1918 in South Korea and was baptized in 1948. His baptism is the same year as the independence of Israel in 1948, according to the prophecy of the fig tree.
He established the World Mission Society Church of God in 1964, which now has over 2.5 million members in 175 different countries. The WMSCOG believes in Elohim God, meaning God the Father and God the Mother.
Who is Ahnsahnghong according to Bible?
Most people outside of Korea have never heard the name Ahnsahnghong. If he is supposed to be Christ, shouldn’t his name be in the Bible? Where is the name Ahnsahnghong in the Bible? Though the name of Jesus was not in the Old Testament, the disciples believed that he was the Christ. It is the same with Ahnsahnghong. The Bible testifies about Second Coming Christ in many ways. So, can you prove that Ahnsahnghong is Christ? Apostle Paul was able to prove that Jesus was the Christ through the Bible.
Acts 17:2-3 – As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah,” he said.
Paul was proving Jesus was the Christ with the Bible. In the same way, you can see the prophecies about Christ Ahnsahnghong in the Bible. But you can only find out if you are wiling to take time to understand. Then which prophecies do we need to examine about Second Coming Christ?
1. Second Coming Christ Comes as King David
In the last days, God’s people are expected to seek David for blessings.
Hosea 3:6 – Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.
This is not a prophecy about the actual King David because King David died hundreds of years before Hosea wrote that verse. The verse also speaks about the last days which is even further past King David’s lifetime. In summary, Ahnsahnghong should fulfill this prophecy. If Ahnsahnghong Is Not King David, He is Not the Christ.
2. Second Coming Christ Comes from the East
There is another prophecy that Christ will come from the east in His second coming. Interestingly, Christ Ahnsahnghong came from the east and fulfilled this prophecy.
Matthew 24:27 – For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
3. Ahnsahnghong Established the Church that Follows the Bible
Many churches teach things that are not in the Bible. That is why the Bible says God would establish a church in the last days and teach God’s laws to God’s people.
Micah 4:1-2 – In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Then what does the WMSCOG do? Does it walk in the path of Christ following His example? Ahnsahnghong teaches to keep the Passover, and all the annual Feasts of God including the weekly Sabbath on Saturday, all which Jesus Christ kept Himself. We do not see any connection between Ahnsahnghong and Christmas, and other teachings that are not in the Bible. Some say that Ahnsahnghong established the true Biblical church.
Conclusion
There are so many ways we can understand who Ahnsahnghong is. We just have to take the time and study the prophecies in the Bible. I hope that you will take time out of your busy schedule and see for yourself.
