Ahnsahnghong Is?

Ahnsahnghong vs Jesus, Why the WMSCOG Uses A Different Name

Why does the WMSCOG use a different name?

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) loudly proclaims that Christ came back as a man named Ahnsahnghong. They pray in the name Ahnsahnghong (WMSCOG: The Savior and the New Name), claiming He is second coming Jesus according to the Bible. Curious, I took some time to find out why is there a difference in Christian beliefs. My first question is, “Why would Jesus change His name to Ahnsahnghong?” I wanted to understand the difference in the names, Ahnsahnghong vs Jesus, because I remembered that God declared His people would know His name.

Isaiah 52:6 – Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I.

In the book of John, Jesus taught the disciples to pray in the name of Jesus.

Did Ahnsahnghong Say Pray in His Name?

When I read one of Ahnsahnghong’s books, “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life,”  in chapter 12, Ahnsahnghong wrote that salvation is found in the name of Jesus, not Ahnsahnghong. What a surprise!

“However, salvation is found in no other name than Jesus, not only at His first coming but even in the last days.”

I was a little confused. Then why does the WMSCOG pray in the name of Ahnsahnghong? Why does the WMSCOG not pray in the name of Jesus following what he wrote? Also, according to the Bible?

John 16:24 – Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

Did Jesus always teach to Pray in the Name of Jesus?

I had assumed that Jesus always taught to pray in the name of Jesus. However, I missed a key word in John 16:24, a verse I thought I knew well.

John 16:24 – Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

“Until now” means that the disciples did not always pray in the name of Jesus. Right before Jesus spoke those words, Jesus taught the disciples to pray in the name of Jehovah. The Old Testament was their Bible, which only proclaimed the name of Jehovah as the Savior.

So before John 16:24, Jehovah. After, Jesus.

Does Ahnsahnghong Say Pray in the Name of Jesus Forever?

I found that I actually could have answered all my questions if I simply read the next chapter of the book.

“Jesus told that He would go away and send the Counselor in regard to His coming back in a different name after going up into heaven.”

Ahnsahnghong actually teaches that when the Counselor, Second Coming Christ, comes, in the last days, He will have a “different” name. So it is exactly the same as 2,000 years ago…

2,000 years ago, there was a group of people saved that prayed in the name of Jehovah, received the Savior, and prayed in the new name, Jesus. In the last days, people who pray in the name of Jesus, receive the Savior, and pray in the new name of God.

Revelation 3:12 – The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.

The teaching from Ahnsahnghong is the same as the Bible.
